Welcome Reception

We are pleased to invite you to the official Welcome Reception of the 28th Congress of ECTRIMS 2012. The event will take place at the Halles de Lyon – Paul Bocuse, the city’s largest gourmet indoor market.
Since 1971 this gastronomical hub gathers the “crème de la crème” of Lyon’s food vendors and contributes to the city’s international reputation for fine French cuisine.

Amongst the numerous market stalls you will find butchers, greengrocers, oyster sellers, cheese makers, wine sellers and bakers, all defending with fervour and conviction the exquisite taste of their various wares to epicurean customers. We invite you to take a stroll at “Les Halles”, enjoy the atmosphere and taste the various delicacies Lyon has to offer.

Conference Dinner

The official Conference Dinner will be held at La Sucrière. In the 1930s the building was used as a sugar warehouse and has now been renovated while retaining its original character. Its unique concept makes La Sucrière an exceptional and atypical venue.

The building is situated on the Docks in Lyon’s new and trendy La Confluence district. While the area was formerly dedicated to the needs of a bustling shipping and supply industry, it is today increasingly home to communication and media company headquarters, institutions, trendy bars, restaurants and art galleries. La Sucrière now serves as a flagship of the area and hosts various events, art exhibitions and fashion shows.

Tickets can be purchased at the secretariat (according to availability).

Price: € 70 per person
