Free airport shuttle bus

On Tuesday, 9 October 2012 a free shuttle service will be in operation from 15.00 – 20.00 between the airport and Lyon’s central train station “Part-Dieu”.

On Wednesday, 10 October 2012 from 7.00 –14.00 as well as on Saturday, 13 October 2012 from 10.00 –14.00 a free shuttle service will be in operation between the airport and the Lyon Convention Centre.

Travel Information

The Lyon Convention Centre is located approximately 30 minutes from Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport by car, taxi and public transport. Visit Opens external link in new windowwww.lyonaeroports.com for up-to-date flight information, airport services and connections to the convention centre.

Rhone Express
The Rhone Express connects the airport to Lyon’s train station Part-Dieu which is the main train hub in the city centre. The journey is less than 30 minutes and allows travel without risk of congestion.

Attention: due to works, the train is replaced by a bus shuttle bus during the congress period.

Busses
Bus lines C1 and C2 directly connect Part-Dieu station to the Lyon Convention Centre (Stop: Cité International). The journey takes about 10 minutes. Lines C4, C5, C6 and B70 connect different stations within Lyon with the convention center. Various other bus lines allow convenient travel within the city of Lyon. Trains
Frequent time schedules allow travel to various destinations via TGV within France. Trains can be boarded at Part-Dieu or directly at the airport’s train station which lies within 5 minutes walking distance of the terminal building. Coaches
The coach station within the airport terminal links Lyon Saint Exupéry to various destinations within the Rhône-Alp region. For details and timetables please refer to Opens external link in new windowwww.lyonaeroports.com (link “Access & car parks” then “Buses”)

Ticket for public transportation

ECTRIMS delegates will be able to use the public transport system free of charge. Onsite, delegates will receive a ticket together with the congress documents which is valid for all means of public transportation within the city of Lyon. The travel card is valid for all congress days on the entire TCL transport network. Tickets have to be validated when entering a bus, a tram or a metro station.
