Application for Mobile Devices

The application will allow participants to navigate through the entire ECTRIMS programme from their mobile device, view sessions by day and category, access the abstracts being presented, view posters as a PDF file, locate exhibitors through the interactive map and directory and to create a personalised itinerary. For more information, see the advert.

Badges

Access to all scientific sessions will only be possible with your personal name badge which you will receive at the registration desk at the main entrance of the congress centre. Please always wear your badge! € 30 will be charged for replacement of a lost badge.

Camera and Recordings

Cameras and video cameras are prohibited in lecture halls during all sessions.

Certificates

Certificates of attendance indicating the CME credits are available as from Friday afternoon, 12 October 2012. They can be printed from self-service stations in the pre-registration area, using the barcode printed on your name badge. Changes of certificates due to incorrect submission of names and/or address will be charged € 10.

Cloakroom

A cloakroom is available to keep your coats and bags. It is located in the registration area and is free of charge for delegates.

Congress Venue

The ECTRIMS 2012 meeting will take place at the Lyon Convention Centre which is situated in a beautiful setting between the River Rhone and the Parc de la Tête d’Or. The building has been designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano and offers newly built spaces and modern facilities.

Confirmation of Registration

Upon receipt of the full of registration fee, each participant will receive a confirmation of registration. Please bring this confirmation to the registration desk at the congress centre as proof of your registration.

Currency

All official prices are indicated in Euro (€). The official currency in France is the Euro. All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

Industrial Exhibition

The industrial exhibition is located in immediate vicinity to congress activities such as lecture halls and catering areas. Companies from all over the world are given ample opportunity to display their latest products, services and technical innovations. The exhibition is open during the following hours:

Insurance

The congress organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to conference participants, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

Internet Corner

Internet terminals will be available for all congress participants. They are located in the industrial exhibition area, next to the Novartis exhibition booth.

The internet corner is supported by Novartis Pharma, AG.

Language

The congress language is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

Local Information Desk

A local information desk will be available. It is located in the registration area.

Lunch & Coffee Breaks

Lunch & coffee breaks are included in the registration fee and will be served in the exhibition area and in front of the lecture room Forum 2&3.

Message Board

Several message boards are distributed throughout the venue. If you have a message for another delegate, please leave it at Speakers’ Service Centre and it will be displayed on the screens.

Mobile Phones

Kindly be aware that mobile phones must be switched off during all sessions.

Poster Exhibition

Posters can also be viewed electronically during the entire congress at the e-poster area in the poster exhibition.
Posters are also fully downloadable in PDF format via the ECTRIMS app. They can easily be viewed on your tablet!

Press

Accredited journalists are welcome to cover the ECTRIMS 2012. Upon presentation of your press identification, registration will be free of charge. A fully equipped press centre is at your disposal opposite the secretariat.

The official ECTRIMS press conference will take place on Wednesday, 10 October 2012 from 13:00 to 14:00 in the Press Conference room.

Speakers’ Service Centre (SSC)

The Speakers’ Service Centre (SSC) is located opposite the secretariat and is connected to all lecture halls. All speakers will be asked to hand in their PowerPoint presentations at the SSC at least 1 hour before the start of their lecture.

The Speakers’ Service Centre will already be open on Tuesday, 9 October 2012 from 14:00 to 18:00.

Webcasts

All main lectures will be recorded and available as a webcast on the congress website a few hours after the session has taken place.

Wireless internet will be available throughout the conference centre free of charge. This service is supported by Novartis Pharma, AG. Please visit the Novartis booth 205 in the industrial exhibition in order to obtain the password to access the network.
